Dear Yea all who may or may not be concerned about my survival,
1. I live.
2. I am in Hong Kong, no Jet Lag. (I think I inadvertently induced jet lag in my last two days in Toronto through sleep deprivation)
3. To my boorish North American taste buds, not ever having been to Japan, Hong Kong sushi tastes fantastic and is quite cheap.
4. I am staying at a "hostel" which is on the third floor of this neighbourhood called Tsim sha Tsui, which is the tourist district. All the buildings seem to be attached at all floors creating this layer cake world effect. It would probably feel a bit like super mario if I had spent more time playing that in my youth. (It's called Garden Hostel and the fact of it being ranked --by the extremely useless Lonely Planet Hong Kong-- as one of the top 5 hostels in Hong Kong is completely unrelated to the strong smell of urine in the staircase. That said the room is descent and there is stealable wireless internet nearby sowhat's a little pee here and there?)
5. I seem to have only packed two pairs of pants, both quite inappropriate for the weather: one with a flannel liner, the other made of some elastic plastic which is not breathable. It's over 25 C here at
the coldest and I am shy.
Take care,
~azad
